Brick City
February 7, 2012

The next place I live in will have exposed brick even if I have to lay it myself (seriously, don’t put it past me). I just love the look it gives to a home or apartment, orrrrr a loft. Can I have a loft with one obnoxiously large exposed brick wall, please? Oh and then I can decorate the loft in all white, black, and gray like this post from yesterday!

Also, Every time I watch House Hunters (which is everyday for approx 2-3 hours) it seems like all of the exposed brick is in Chicago. Maybe I have to move to ensure there’s a proper brick wall in my dwelling place.

Shades Of Gray
February 6, 2012

Yes, I spell gray with an A. I want to live in a world filled with white, black, and shades of gray. There is something so calming to me about this color palette. I want to wake up surrounded by clean lines and bright walls with dark accents in the furniture or fixtures. For me, this is as close to perfection as it comes.

Add Some Sparkle {Home}
January 12, 2012

You all know how I feel about gold. One of my favorite ways to add dimension to your home or apartment is through shine and texture, considering it’s not always appropriate to add glitter and sequins to everything. Having a white and gold chevron accent wall, spray painting a white West Elm deer head gold, or painting a gold design onto a plain chair can help to take any room to a new level. But remember, when you’re hosting an event it’s always okay to add gold shimmering garland or to DIY this amazing gold photo booth backdrop!
