I can’t even believe how good the NYFW go-ers outfits were. This fashion week was extra tough because of the snow, so I love checking out how everyone worked with the bitter cold and ice patches at Lincoln Center. Of course there were parkas, fur hats and scarves, gloves, and layers upon layers… but then there were the out of the box-ers who didn’t act like there was a snowflake on the ground. Here are my absolute favorites.
Style Me Pretty (both the site and the book) have been a huge inspiration to me while starting my wedding planning. I’m constantly stumbling upon inspirational photos of dresses, flowers, tablescapes… you name it. But yesterday I stumbled upon a styled shoot that I loved every. single. photo of. It just works and you’ve got to check it out.

My “Yes, Please” Pinterest board is getting pretty crazy, and here are a few things I really feel like I need, stat. Obviously some of these are more attainable then others. The Field Notes notebooks from J.Crew would be perfect for wedding planning and Essie’s Matte About You I can’t wait to try with Penny Talk (a metallic copper). What are the items you’re coveting right now?
Coach held their Pre-Fall 2013 press previews and I was lucky enough to meet with the lovely PR team and catch a glimpse of some of the gorgeous styles. There are so many great silhouettes and I was specifically blown away by the color. So many great options from updated neutrals like a light camel and blush to really fantastic color blocking (think fuchsia and red) are filling the showroom. And don’t get me started on mens… I’ll probably be snatching up a lot of that too! Here are my three favorites (sorry for the iPhone pics), what do you think?

I hope you all had a great holiday! I took a little bit of time off from blogging to celebrate with my family and with the future in laws. We have been on a Christmas celebrating marathon since the 22nd and Andrew and I were happy to find ourselves sitting on the couch watching movies as the snow fell last night. Andrew went back to work this morning but I’m off for the rest of the week so you know my days will be filled with wedding craziness! FYI: I was given the Style Me Pretty book (like I don’t spend enough time on the website) and there’s so much inspiration in that bad boy I’m going to explode. To keep you updated, wedding venue we loved didn’t end up working out so we are back to the drawing board and in overdrive this time. Wish us luck finding somewhere this weekend!

As the holidays are quickly approaching I’ve been bundling up with beanies and lots of layers, taking time to actually do my hair in those oh so fantastic beachy waves, and decorating like crazy. Our apartment is full of holiday cheer but I have a few more DIYs I need to get to before Christmas comes. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend. If you’re in New York, bundle up!
You’ve all heard about my wedding plans and I am so excited to get to all of the little details. Like how to incorporate glitter and gold into my wedding, of course. I can’t stop pinning photos of gold cakes, it’s kind of becoming an obsession. Can we talk about how I’m going to have to have ten cakes to make sure I cover all my bases?

Over the weekend Andrew and I picked up our Christmas tree! I love Christmas so much and putting on our santa hats and decorating is something I really cherish. I’m very lucky to get the chance to do that every Christmas for the rest of my life! Now it’s time to work on the rest of the apartment. All the candles will be switching to Christmas scents, stockings will be hung, presents will be wrapped (in metallic wrapping paper and twine), flowers will be red, and hot cocoa will be made on a daily basis. Tis the season!
