Okay guys, another big weekend… I think I found *the* dress! I can’t even believe I’m saying these words considering I’m so unbelievably picky I thought it would take me months and months. Well, it was the second store I went to! I had the absolute worst experience at Kleinfeld so I was absolutely thrilled when I walked into Gabriella New York to see a small shop filled with gorgeous dresses and the nicest consultant I could have ever asked for. She was so helpful and really listened to what I wanted! I have two more appointments this coming weekend and then I’m headed back to Gabriella on the 22nd for a trunk show but I’m assuming that nothing will even come close to the dress I love… my Mom and I actually got teary eyed. I’m going to stop babbling and show you some photos of brides looking oh so pretty on their wedding days, I can only hope to look this good!

One of my favorite Fall 2013 collections is for sure Erin Fetherston. I love all of the lace and the origami-esq elements… and you all know how I feel about the metallic fabrics. YES!

I’ve always loved Jenny Packham but since I got engaged I’ve been totally obsessed. I feel like everywhere I go I see a Jenny Packham dress in an ad, on a wedding site, and especially on pinterest. I’ve already contacted a bridal salon in the city about the Fall 2013 line, and I CANNOT wait until the day I’m able to try them on. I hope I can look half as good in one of the styles as these ladies look in their Jenny Packhams!

I have and always will have a love/hate relationship with Lady Gaga. I want to accept her as “avante-garde” but the majority of the time I find myself leaning more towards “insane person”. When I heard she was doing Vogue I cringed, especially because it was for the September issue. When it leaked last night I came to terms with Gaga being a fashion icon. I must admit, it’s pretty fantastic. What do you think? Love it or hate it?

Wedding Wednesday takes on a new meaning now that I’m engaged. When I look at wedding blogs like Style Me Pretty and Grey Likes Weddings (a new favorite), I can’t help but envision what our day will look like. Harper’s Bazaar, I freakin’ love you. You’re extremely well curated fifty four images of couture street style are making me swoon. Don’t get me wrong, my eyes were glued to many a show coming from Milan, Sao Paulo, and Paris this season but for me street style is what I’m always waiting for. How to actually make it work in real life. Runway to sidewalk, on different body shapes (oh who am I kidding, 99% of them are models), Harper’s Bazaar documents it best.

Hope you all had a great weekend! It went a little too quickly for my liking, but don’t they all? Over the weekend I found a lot of gorgeous vintage images and was pinning away, as usual. I started to notice that there are a lot of fabrics, patterns, and silhouettes that are similar to modern dressing. Obviously, today everything is a lot different. Instead of a fur stole for instance, we might wear a fur collar. Check out some of my favorite looks, then vs. now.

Oh Jenny Packham, this dress is gorg. I would wear this at my wedding, or anywhere for that matter, in a split second.

Typically, I love the fanfare of fashion week. The looks that mix colors and textures together to make something beautiful but not something that the average girl could wear to work. Rachel Zoe’s collection surprised me, in a good way. I would wear every single piece in this collection exactly how it was styled. I literally wouldn’t change a thing!
