Victoria Beckham is the bomb, the secret is out! I love that all of the colors and patterns don’t necessarily match but the theme across all of the looks is this amazing fabric and of course the structure. Plus I’m kind of obsessed with the messy ponytails. What do you guys think?
Coach held their Pre-Fall 2013 press previews and I was lucky enough to meet with the lovely PR team and catch a glimpse of some of the gorgeous styles. There are so many great silhouettes and I was specifically blown away by the color. So many great options from updated neutrals like a light camel and blush to really fantastic color blocking (think fuchsia and red) are filling the showroom. And don’t get me started on mens… I’ll probably be snatching up a lot of that too! Here are my three favorites (sorry for the iPhone pics), what do you think?
Andrew and I still don’t have bedroom furniture. It’s a little scary to think that we have been in this apartment for 6 months with a mattress (on the floor), a dresser, a TV, two lamps, and a vanity in our bedroom. We have no bed frame, headboard, or night stands. I think it’s time to get going on that, and I’m collecting a ton of inspiration so that we can get started. We need to make sure that whatever we get is functional as well as pretty though and I think that’s where I’ve been stuck! But once I discovered Z Gallerie I’ve been all over their bedroom section. There are a TON of really pretty options that actually work for our lives; like this nightstand (love the tray that slides out). Looking at these inspiration photos I pulled, I’m thinking the Z Gallerie options will work just fine!
Happy Friday! As the holidays are quickly approaching I’ve been bundling up with beanies and lots of layers, taking time to actually do my hair in those oh so fantastic beachy waves, and decorating like crazy. Our apartment is full of holiday cheer but I have a few more DIYs I need to get to before Christmas comes. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend. If you’re in New York, bundle up!
I’ve been blown away by all of the print in this years Spring 2013 collections so far. There are definitely stand out designers that pushed the limits and made some gorgeous pieces that will surely be on all of our must have lists. Maybe it’s the cutie son of hers or that she made this “Call Me Maybe” video, but Rebecca Minkoff really can do no wrong in my eyes. Spring 2013 obviously didn’t disappoint. I love the fresh, easy silhouettes paired with a more complex pattern throughout. This first look is killer.

Happy Friday! Our new apartment is the only thing that has been on my mind lately. It’s only a week until move in! I stumbled upon Plan Your Room and have been building our plan-o-gram ever since. It’s such a great resource and allows you to see exactly how your furniture, or potential furniture, will fit in your room. Since building the plan and buying quite a bit of furniture and accessories, I started making these inspiration boards for each room. A little inspiration can go a long way when moving! You’ve already seen my living room inspiration here and here, so now it’s time to focus on the bedroom and bathroom.

Happy Monday ya’ll. It’s been a while, good to see you here. I spent a lot of this holiday week/weekend looking for furniture for the new apartment. You know, this one. I bought a lamp that is very similar to the one in the photos below and I’m officially obsessed. This living room is the bomb.
I’m sure you are all aboard the Instagram train… if you follow me on Twitter, you will notice that I’ve been using Instagram to post pretty much everything. To me it’s the best way to document all of my activities using images without having to actually think about typing out an explanation all the time (probably not the greatest exercise for a blogger but I digress). I realized a lot of things furniture shopping this weekend, but the one thing that stood out in my mind the most was that I love everything tufted… and I mean everything. Specifically, I find myself being drawn to tufted headboards. When I came home and took a look at my Pinterest, I noticed that there were tufted headboards all over the place. Apparently I knew I liked it long before I actually realized that I should be purchasing one ASAP. Check out my favorite headboards, they will definitely be a part of my inspiration board when I head back out again.
Do you ever wonder why your house never looks like the makeover shows on TV or fashion bloggers houses when they are featured on other blogs? Well, it’s because of the styling. You might think that you can simply stack books on your acrylic coffee table or throw any matching pillow onto your couch, but that’s not always how it works. Some people have an eye for color, pattern, and size but other people may have to work on it. Here are some of my favorite examples of really, really good styling that don’t necessarily follow all (or any) of the rules.
