Currently Coveting
November 13, 2012

First of all, it’s starting to get festive here in NYC… Christmas decorations are going up everywhere and people are beginning to holiday shop. It’s my absolute favorite time of year here on the East Coast! The month of December will be filled with drinks under heat lamps in Bryant Park, ice skating in Rockefeller Center, and hot chocolate near the fireplace so I will need some go to pieces to pair with what is currently in my closet. Here are the fall/winter items I’m currently coveting. *This Celine bag being on Overstock is killing me. I wish!

Pleats To Please
April 12, 2012

For some of you, pleats can be very scary at first. I wouldn’t go near a pleat until biting the bullet on a Jason Wu for Target pleated skirt. It’s patiently waiting in my closet for warmer weather but I have a feeling it will be making its debut this weekend. I’ve also been seeing a lot of pleated hi-lo skirts that could be styled a million different ways through the spring and summer. Because I’m not a size zero, two, or four I’ve found they look best with a tucked in tee and a sweater (or a longer, more “boyfriend” style blazer) over. Here are some of the photos that inspired me to bite the bullet.

Boyfriend… Weekend Bag?
March 21, 2012

I’ve always loved menswear inspired pieces (ie: “boyfriend blazers”, “boyfriend jeans”, and “boyfriend cardigans”) but it isn’t very often that I fall in love with an actual men’s style. Thank you, Coach, for making it impossible for me to stop obsessing over a men’s weekend bag. Here he is…

{Coach}

If you don’t know the origins of Coach, it actually started as a men’s luxury accessory line in the 40s. Think super swanky executive gifts that would fit perfectly on the set of Mad Men (shave kits, slippers…). The founder of Coach was a huge fan of baseball and manufactured his products using leather that would patina just like a baseball glove. Which means it just gets better with age. This weekend bag is exactly what I need for my new commute. A computer, a pair of flats, my lunch, a binder, and a sweater would fit inside perfectly so it’s a work necessity, wouldn’t you say?

Nailed It
February 28, 2012

I’m totally obsessed with my nails lately. I just did this crazy red and black striped manicure last night and I’m sure I’ll be changing it again in a day or two. I’ve been browsing a million websites for inspiration and I realized that I absolutely love multi-colored nails. Forget using just one color!

{NYFW} Marc Jacobs Fall 2012
February 16, 2012

This is going to be the last fashion week update I do because I can’t wait any longer to post this and I always save the best for last. I’ve talked before about my obsession with Alice In Wonderland, anything that reminds me of the Mad Hatter has my heart immediately. If that Mad Hatter is brought to me by one of my all time favorite designers, it’s even better. Marc Jacobs, I love you for this show.

{NYFW} Rag & Bone Fall 2012
February 14, 2012

In keeping with today (Valentine’s Day, duh) let’s talk about my love for Rag & Bone. Every time I go into Barneys I literally die over all of the options. Besides it just being awesome, Rag & Bone jeans legitimately hug every curve perfectly so how can I not be in love. Ummmm and are those gray pants ombre? Yes, please!

Aren’t they inside? Talk about ideal placement of “wind” and model in garment.

{NYFW} Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012
February 10, 2012

If you follow me on Pinterest and Twitter you already know how I feel about Tadashi Shoji. He’s an absolute genius. This line didn’t disappoint, not something we would wear everyday but his attention to detail is unprecedented!

Shades Of Gray
February 6, 2012

Yes, I spell gray with an A. I want to live in a world filled with white, black, and shades of gray. There is something so calming to me about this color palette. I want to wake up surrounded by clean lines and bright walls with dark accents in the furniture or fixtures. For me, this is as close to perfection as it comes.

It’s A Boy
February 5, 2012

Happy Superbowl Sunday! GO GIANTS! I can’t wait to watch this game sporting my Giant’s tee complete with a huge “CRUUUUUUUUUUUZ” on the back. Yes, I’m that person. I also want to make sure I let you all know I went a little crazy with the Jason Wu for Target collection. By crazy I mean staying up until 3:00am buying online and then getting up at 7:30am to head over to the store. I couldn’t help myself, everything in that collection is absolutely adorable!

Yesterday, I found out via a gender reveal party (best idea ever) that good friends of mine are having a baby boy!!! Naturally, this means that I’m obsessing over how they will decorate the nursery. Here are my favorite nursery ideas… I love how everything is so tiny and cute!

I Want To Go To There
January 26, 2012

I’ve seen tons of images of this pretty garland with metallic strands but I stumbled upon the motherload of sparkly awesomeness today. Finding Confetti System was just what I needed on this dreary day! Could you imagine working in the Confetti System office? I’d for sure sleep in the office every single night ontop of piles and piles of pretty. Do you think they would let me camp out for a few days?
