I love everything about Christmas, including the influx of fair isle sweaters. There is a very fine line between ugly Christmas sweater party sweaters and awesome Christmas sweaters though, and I’m here to bridge that gap. I’m not sure if this is actually appropriate coming from someone who has worn a Santa hat at some point everyday since December 1st, but I digress. Can you believe it’s the last day of November? Time is flying by so today is the day for my November favorites from around the web. This month has been crazy so I’m ready to relax a little in December and enjoy the holidays. What are your December plans?

I don’t typically do gift guide posts but if you guys are anything like me this year, Thanksgiving really snuck up on you. I can’t believe it’s in two days… which means black Friday is practically here. I know people say it’s ridiculous to wait on line to attribute to the greediness of our country but I have just two words to say to that, BAH HUMBUG! I love giving gifts during the holidays, and it’s fun to wake up in the middle of the night to get someone something special. I try to make a gift guide for myself each year before I go shopping. It’s easier for me to focus when I have a list of people and an idea of what I want to get them. So here is this years:

Happy Halloween lovelies, I hope you all have fun plans for tonight even though it’s a Wednesday! I’m a huge advocate of Halloween always being on a Friday… is that possible? No? Boo. I’m going to see the Smashing Pumpkins tonight in Brooklyn which I couldn’t be more excited about. Talk about the perfect band to see on Halloween. Billy Corgan couldn’t look more like Jack The Pumpkin King if he tried! What are your plans?

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for. Glittery skulls and white pumpkins are abound in my apartment during the month of October. I’m always looking for ways to spice up those pumpkins though… last year it was with glitter and this year it will be with gold (how fitting) and hot pink! Check out my inspiration:

I hate how the second New Year’s day passes all holiday music stops and all decorations come down. Can’t we hold onto the holidays just a little bit longer? I always get excited around the holidays for all the bright and festive nail colors. Typically people will go red, which is what I intended to do today when I walked into the salon. But it seems like every two weeks the Shellac gel color options grow. So, instead of red I went with one coat of white and two coats of gold sparkle. I die!!
