I’m always super jealous of ladies who can pull off those below the knee, above the ankle, in between mid-shin length skirts. Is that the technical term for them? This is exactly what I mean and I think I need to start introducing them starting this spring. Have you embraced this length yet?

One of my favorite Fall 2013 collections is for sure Erin Fetherston. I love all of the lace and the origami-esq elements… and you all know how I feel about the metallic fabrics. YES!

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these Weekly Fave posts unfortunately. I pretty much owe you the entire month of October (eek). Fall has always been my favorite season. I love when deep colors and lots of layers are finally socially acceptable again. I’m sure you’re not at all surprised that oxblood has been my favorite fall trend this year. Whether it’s a scarf, a blouse, jeans, a skirt,  a bag, lips, or nails… oxblood is the perfect way to add a taste of fall to any outfit. Here are some of the items on my wish list for this season. Ah Paris Fashion Week, you slay me. As if Paris wasn’t magical enough on its own, just add some of the most fashionable people from around the world and you’ve got an event I want to be a part of. I’ve been blown away by all of the print in this years Spring 2013 collections so far. There are definitely stand out designers that pushed the limits and made some gorgeous pieces that will surely be on all of our must have lists. Maybe it’s the cutie son of hers or that she made this “Call Me Maybe” video, but Rebecca Minkoff really can do no wrong in my eyes. Spring 2013 obviously didn’t disappoint. I love the fresh, easy silhouettes paired with a more complex pattern throughout. This first look is killer.

Did you take dance lessons when you were little? I did for about 12 years and although I preferred jazz and tap as I got older, I loved listening to French tapes teaching me to pirouette. What really struck me today when I saw this first image is that when I was little I used to wear that tutu everywhere I possibly could. I loved how it looked when I twirled and I loved how I couldn’t put my hands down because it would get in the way. It’s no wonder why I ended up the way I am today… fashion is always greater than comfort, right?! So how do you channel that inner ballerina now? At five or six years old it was perfectly acceptable for me to run around the grocery store in my pretty pink tutu, but how does the 24 year old me pull that off? Leave it to Catherine Sheppard of The Life Styled to show us all. It may be feathers v. the traditional tulle but it totally serves my fashion purposes. If I were her I’d be wearing that baby everywhere!
