Fall has always been my favorite season. I love when deep colors and lots of layers are finally socially acceptable again. I’m sure you’re not at all surprised that oxblood has been my favorite fall trend this year. Whether it’s a scarf, a blouse, jeans, a skirt, a bag, lips, or nails… oxblood is the perfect way to add a taste of fall to any outfit. Here are some of the items on my wish list for this season. I’ve seen tons of images of this pretty garland with metallic strands but I stumbled upon the motherload of sparkly awesomeness today. Finding Confetti System was just what I needed on this dreary day! Could you imagine working in the Confetti System office? I’d for sure sleep in the office every single night ontop of piles and piles of pretty. Do you think they would let me camp out for a few days?
Doing research for my week of sparkle has been really uplifting for me. It seems that staring at sparkles and glitter can improve even the worst of moods and make you forget about the bitter cold and whipping winds here in NYC! Today brings the end of our week of sparkle and since it’s Friday I decided to also continue with weekly faves. Here are my absolute favorite sparkly/shiney/glittery photos. Happy Wednesday! We’re halfway through our week of sparkle and I couldn’t be more excited to share some of my favorite wedding inspiration. Not only are these pictures absolutely gorgeous but adding some texture, shine and of course some glitter can only make your day even more fabulous. I’m especially fond of the gold sequined table runner in photo six and the back of that Tadashi Shoji gown in photo two is to die for!
The next installment of our week of sparkle is accessories. Yesterday we talked about how to add some sparkle to your clothes, but that’s not always possible. A simple alternative is to punch up the accessories. A great sequined clutch or super sparkly necklace can take a plain outfit to the next level. Whenever I wear jeans, a simple tank, and a blazer I always add a statement necklace and ring or a great clutch with lots of texture.
Remember this post? Well, DKNY recently tweeted “I’ve seen some posts today about how to not wear sequins on NYE. Let me be really clear, sequins are fabulous. Shine on!”. I couldn’t have said it better myself. I can never get enough sequins and you can be sure that I’ll be rocking them tonight. Heres to ringing in the new year in style!
